UPTET is a state-level eligibility exam conducted to certify candidates for teaching positions in government schools of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who qualify this exam become eligible to apply for: Primary Teacher (Class 1–5) Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6–8) It is a mandatory qualification for teaching jobs in UP government schools. The exam evaluates teaching aptitude, subject knowledge, and pedagogy skills. Key Responsibilities (After Selection as Teacher): Teach students in primary or upper primary classes Prepare lesson plans and academic content Manage classroom activities Evaluate student performance Support student development and learning Maintain academic records and reports Participate in school activities
