Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad invites online applications for the post of Junior Technician (Innovation Lab) under Advertisement No. IITPKD/R/NF/02/2026. The selected candidate will manage and maintain the Innovation Lab (CSquare) facilities, providing technical support for student projects, prototyping, and coordinating lab activities. 🔬 Key Responsibilities: Maintain and enhance the Innovation Lab facilities and oversee its daily activities. Assist students and faculty in project prototyping and mechanical fabrication work. Handle and maintain lab equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Act as a bridge between faculty and students for innovation project progress.
B.E. / B.Tech / Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% marks. (OR) Post SSLC with 2-year ITI in relevant trade with at least 60% marks and 2 years of relevant experience. Minimum 2 years of experience is mandatory if applying with ITI qualification. Proficiency in handling mechanical tools and fabrication equipment. Age limit: Maximum 27 years (as on 13.04.2026).
