Job Description

Spices Board is conducting a walk-in interview for the recruitment of Plant Pathology Division Trainees. Selected candidates will be trained in identifying and managing diseases in spice crops, conducting laboratory experiments, and supporting the research team in plant protection and microbiology studies at the Idukki research station. 🔬 Key Responsibilities: Conduct research and laboratory analysis on plant diseases and pathogens. Assist in microbiology experiments and maintain sterile lab conditions. Collect and document field samples for disease monitoring in spice plantations. Maintain detailed records of research findings and laboratory observations.

Requirements

M.Sc. in Agriculture (Plant Pathology) / Microbiology / Botany / Horticulture. Minimum 55% marks in the qualifying Master's degree. Working knowledge of computers and basic data entry is highly desirable. Prior experience in plant pathology or microbiology research is an advantage. Age limit: Not more than 30 years (as on date of notification).
