JIPMER, Puducherry invites offline applications for the post of Senior Resident on a purely contractual basis for its Karaikal Campus. Selected candidates will be responsible for clinical duties, assisting in the teaching of undergraduate (MBBS) students, and managing day-to-day patient care in their respective specialty departments. 🔬 Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized medical care to patients in OPD, IPD, and Emergency units. Conduct clinical demonstrations and assist Assistant Professors in teaching MBBS students. Supervise Junior Residents and interns in their clinical postings and duties. Maintain medical records, participate in clinical audits, and contribute to departmental research.
A Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the respective specialty from an NMC recognized institution. Candidates must be registered with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council. Must have completed the PG degree on or before the date of the interview. Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency in any government institute are not eligible. Age limit: Maximum 45 years (Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. norms).
