Pondicherry University invites online applications for the post of Public Relation Officer. The selected candidate will act as the official spokesperson for the university, managing all external and internal communications, maintaining media relations, and enhancing the university's public image through various media platforms and events. 🔬 Key Responsibilities: Plan and execute media strategies, press conferences, and university events. Draft press releases, newsletters, and official reports for public dissemination. Manage the university's social media presence and official website content. Act as a liaison between the university administration and media houses/general public.
Master’s Degree in Journalism / Mass Communication / Public Relations from a recognized university with at least 55% marks. Minimum 5 years of experience in the editorial department of any relevant media house or public relations office. Experience should be in a government department, autonomous body, or reputed private organization. Strong proficiency in English and Tamil (local language) for effective communication. Age limit: Maximum 40 years (Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD as per Govt. rules).
