Pondicherry University invites online applications for the post of Private Secretary. The selected candidate will provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to senior university officials, including the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, or Finance Officer. This role involves managing schedules, handling confidential correspondence, and coordinating departmental meetings. 🔬 Key Responsibilities: Handle all secretarial tasks, including shorthand, transcription, and drafting of letters. Manage the official diary, appointments, and travel arrangements for senior officials. Organize and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes of meetings. Screen phone calls, manage visitors, and handle confidential files and documents.
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University. Minimum 3 years of experience as Personal Assistant (Pay Level 6) or equivalent. Experience should be in any Central/State Govt., University, or Autonomous Organization. Proficiency in Stenography in English with a speed of 100 w.p.m. Knowledge of Computer Applications (MS Office, Word processing, etc.) is mandatory. Age limit: Maximum 35 years (Age relaxation applicable as per Govt. norms).
