Job Description

Pondicherry University invites online applications for the post of Deputy Registrar on a Deputation basis. The selected candidate will manage high-level administrative, academic, or financial sections. This role involves policy implementation, supervising subordinate staff, and ensuring the university's compliance with UGC and Central Government regulations during the deputation tenure. ๐Ÿ”ฌ Key Responsibilities: Oversee the functioning of designated administrative or academic units of the university. Assist the Registrar in statutory functions, including meetings of the Executive/Academic Council. Handle complex administrative files, disciplinary matters, and inter-departmental coordination. Requirements

Masterโ€™s Degree from a recognized university with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. Officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis in Central/State Govt. or Universities. OR 5 years of regular service in the Pay Level 11 (Assistant Registrar or equivalent). Candidates must have experience in administration, establishment, or finance in higher education. The period of deputation will be initially for 1 year, extendable as per rules. Age limit: Maximum 56 years on the closing date of application (for Deputation).
