Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar invites online applications for the post of Technical Assistant. Selected candidates will be responsible for providing technical support in various engineering departments and laboratories, assisting faculty and students in research experiments, and ensuring the maintenance and operation of high-end lab equipment. 🔬 Key Responsibilities: Assist in conducting laboratory practicals and research experiments for students. Handle the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of specialized laboratory machinery. Maintain detailed records of lab inventory, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Support departmental research projects and provide technical documentation as required.
B.E. / B.Tech in a relevant Engineering branch with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. (OR) Three-year Diploma in Engineering with excellent academic record and 2-3 years experience. Proficiency in handling laboratory instruments and computer-aided design (CAD) tools. Good communication skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary research environment. Age limit: Maximum 32 - 35 years (Age relaxation as per Govt. of India norms).
