Banaras Hindu University (BHU) invites online applications for the post of Research Associate-I. The position is purely temporary and contractual for a CSIR-sponsored research project titled "Design and Synthesis of Functional Molecular Materials". Selected candidates will work on advanced chemical synthesis, molecular characterization, and material science research under the Principal Investigator (PI). 🔬 Key Responsibilities: Conduct independent research experiments in synthetic organic/inorganic chemistry. Characterize new molecular materials using techniques like NMR, XRD, and Mass Spectrometry. Mentor junior research fellows (JRF/SRF) and manage lab safety protocols. Draft high-quality research papers and project reports for CSIR and international journals. 🔹 Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 1 year, extendable based on project duration)
Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or a closely related specialization. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting the viva-voce may also be considered. Proven track record of research publications in high-impact SCI journals. Strong expertise in advanced synthetic techniques and spectroscopic analysis. Excellent analytical and scientific communication skills. Age limit: Maximum 35 years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Female/Physically Handicapped as per CSIR rules).
