National Institute of Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee invites eligible candidates for a Walk-in Interview for the post of Research Associate-II. The position is purely contractual for a research project related to hydrological modeling, water resource assessment, or climate change impact studies. Selected candidates will be responsible for field data collection, complex hydrological simulations, and technical reporting. 🔬 Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of hydrological models and perform water balance studies. Analyze spatial and temporal data related to river basins or groundwater systems. Publish research findings in high-impact national and international journals. Coordinate with junior research staff (JRF/SRF) and manage project-specific technical tasks. 🔹 Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 1 year, extendable based on performance)
Ph.D. in Water Resources / Hydrology / Civil Engineering / Agriculture or equivalent from a recognized University. Minimum 3 years of research or teaching experience after completing the Ph.D. Proven track record of high-quality research publications in relevant fields. Strong proficiency in hydrological software (e.g., SWAT, MODFLOW) and GIS/Remote Sensing tools. Excellent analytical and technical writing skills. Age limit: Maximum 40 years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Female as per Govt. of India rules).
