Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University (SDSUV) invites online applications for the post of Assistant Librarian. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the university library's operations, including digital resources, collection development, and providing research support to students and faculty. The recruitment is governed by UGC Regulations 2018 and Uttarakhand State Govt. norms. 🔬 Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day administration of the University Library. Manage the acquisition, cataloging, and classification of books and journals. Implement and maintain Library Management Systems and digital repositories. Assist faculty and students in locating research materials and navigating electronic databases.
Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks. A consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of a library. Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or SLET/SET. Candidates awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations are exempted from NET/SLET/SET. Experience in handling digital library software and open-source library management tools is desirable. Reservation and age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD as per Uttarakhand State Govt. norms.
