This is a training-based job (Apprenticeship), not a permanent job. 🔧 What you will do: Learn technical skills in your ITI trade Work under senior railway staff in workshops Perform practical tasks like: Machine handling Equipment repair & maintenance Electrical / mechanical work (as per trade) Follow safety rules in railway workshops Assist in real railway operations (hands-on training) 👉 Example trades: Electrician Fitter Welder Diesel Mechanic AC Mechanic
Selection process will consist of preparation of a merit list based on marks obtained in 10th Class and ITI, followed by Document Verification and Medical Fitness verification. The merit list will be prepared by calculating the average of the percentage marks obtained in both the 10th Class/Matriculation examination (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and the ITI examination, giving equal weightage to both. In case two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be given preference. If the dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed the Matriculation/10th Class examination earlier will be considered. There will be no written test or interview. Shortlisted candidates will need to pass through detailed document verification before joining. Fee Structure : Application fee is Rs 100, to be paid online after completing the application form. Candidates will need to enter their registered email ID, phone number and application number on the payment page to proceed with the payment. After successful payment, an e-receipt will be generated which should be printed and kept for future reference. No application fee is required to be paid for SC / ST/ Female / Transgender and PwBD candidates.
