Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) invites applications for the post of Assistant Project Engineer. The selected candidate will provide technical support for a specific time-bound research project. The role involves laboratory management, assisting in complex engineering simulations, maintaining high-end research equipment, and coordinating with the research team to meet project milestones. 🔬 Key Responsibilities: Assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in setting up and conducting engineering experiments. Maintain technical documentation and experimental logs for the project. Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory hardware and software systems. Facilitate data acquisition and perform basic analysis using engineering tools. 🔹 Job Type: Contractual / Project-based (Initially for 6-11 months, extendable based on performance)
B.E. / B.Tech in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Electronics, or CS) with at least 60% marks. Candidate should have a good understanding of core engineering principles and laboratory safety. Prior experience in a research lab or industrial technical role is an advantage. Proficiency in using engineering software (e.g., MATLAB, AutoCAD, or similar tools) is desirable. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Age limit: Maximum 30-35 years (As per project/institute norms).
