SBI invites online applications for the high-profile post of Group Chief Economic Advisor. The selected candidate will lead the Economic Research Department of India’s largest bank. The role involves analyzing global and domestic economic trends, advising the Top Management (Chairman & Board) on strategic decisions, and publishing reports that influence the Indian financial market. 🔬 Key Responsibilities: Heading the Economic Research team and managing the bank's economic publications. Formulating viewpoints on Monetary Policy, Fiscal Policy, and Banking Sector reforms. Representing SBI at national and international economic forums/summits. Providing macro-economic analysis to assist in the bank's risk management and credit policies. 🔹 Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 3 years, renewable at the bank’s discretion) 🔹 Selection Process: Shortlisting based on qualification and experience Personal Interview (at Mumbai) Final interaction with the Top Management Committee
Post Graduate degree in Economics with specialization in Monetary/Financial Economics or Econometrics. A Ph.D. in Economics from a recognized Indian or Foreign University is highly preferred. Minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in economic research, preferably in a Bank, Financial Institution, or Research Institute. Should have a deep understanding of the Indian financial system and global economy. Excellent analytical and communication skills with a proven record of research publications. Age limit: Maximum 55-60 years (as on the date of notification).
