The Junior Engineer (P-Way) is one of the most critical technical roles in the Railways, responsible for the safety and maintenance of the tracks (Permanent Way). Within CLW, the JE (P-Way) ensures that the internal railway network used for locomotive testing and movement is in perfect condition, preventing any risk of derailment or track failure. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Conducting regular inspections (trolley inspections) of railway tracks, sleepers, and ballast. Maintaining track geometry (alignment, levels, and gauge) to ensure safe train movement. Supervising the ground staff (Keymen/Gangmen) during track repair and maintenance activities. Managing track safety during extreme weather conditions through organized patrolling.
Must be a Regular Serving Employee currently working in CLW. Applicants must be in a pay level lower than Pay Level-6. Candidate should have a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering. OR A 3-year B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. RPF/RPSF personnel are excluded from this recruitment drive. Age limit: UR 42, OBC 45, SC/ST 47 years (as on 09.04.2026).
