Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) invites online applications for the recruitment of Works Manager and Assistant Works Manager on a regular basis. These are middle-management technical roles responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and overhauling of railway rolling stock, locomotives, and workshop machinery. The position requires strong leadership and technical expertise to ensure the operational efficiency of the Konkan Railway network. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Managing day-to-day operations of the Railway Workshop and ensuring production targets are met. Supervising the maintenance and overhauling of LHB coaches and locomotives. Implementing safety protocols and quality control measures during repair activities. Managing a team of junior engineers and technical staff to ensure timely delivery of rolling stock. Procurement of spare parts and inventory management for the workshop. Selection Process: Shortlisting based on Qualification and Experience. Personal Interview. Medical Examination (Railway Standard).
Full-time Bachelor’s Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University. Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in a Railway Workshop or a reputed heavy engineering industry. Experience in maintenance of LHB coaches or diesel/electric locomotives is highly preferred. Knowledge of ISO standards, safety regulations, and labor management. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Age limit: Maximum 45 years (as on the date of notification). Relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. rules.
