Job Description

The Women Development & Child Welfare (WDCW) Department of Nandyal District invites offline applications for 106 vacancies of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers. This recruitment is focused on empowering local women to serve their communities by managing nutrition, health, and pre-school education programs for children and pregnant/lactating women in rural areas. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Anganwadi Worker: Managing the Anganwadi center, providing supplementary nutrition, and organizing pre-school activities for children (3-6 years). Anganwadi Helper: Assisting the worker in cooking, cleaning the center, and bringing children to the center. Conducting home visits to educate mothers about health, hygiene, and immunization. Maintaining registers and reporting child growth data to the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO). Job Type: Honorarium-based Government Service (Contractual/Permanent as per state policy). Selection Process: * Scrutiny of Applications Verification of Documents (Local Residence, Education, Caste) Personal Interview.

Requirements

Candidate must be a Female and a Resident of the concerned village/ward (Local status is mandatory). Must have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) from a recognized board. Candidates from SC/ST/BC/Minority communities will be given preference as per roster points. Must be physically fit and have a service-oriented mindset. Age limit: 21 to 35 years (as on 01.07.2025). Minimum age for SC/ST candidates is sometimes relaxed to 18 years in specific cases.
