Job Description

National Book Trust (NBT), India, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, invites applications for the post of Consultant Grade-2 specializing in PR & Communication. This is a strategic role meant for seasoned professionals who can lead NBT’s public outreach, manage media partnerships, and conceptualize large-scale promotional campaigns for literary festivals and the New Delhi World Book Fair. The role involves positioning NBT as a global leader in book promotion and digital publishing. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Developing and executing comprehensive PR strategies to enhance the national and international visibility of NBT. Acting as the primary point of contact for media houses, journalists, and corporate partners. Managing end-to-end corporate communications, including press releases, media kits, and official speeches. Overseeing social media presence and digital marketing campaigns for various book-related events. Conceptualizing literary sessions and outreach programs for major Book Fairs and Literature Festivals. Handling crisis communication and reputation management for the organization. Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 11 months, extendable based on performance). Selection Process: * Screening of applications Personal Interview Document Verification.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Mass Communication, Media Management, Public Relations, or Journalism from a recognized university. Minimum 15 years of experience in the relevant field of PR, Corporate Communication, or Media Management. Significant experience in managing large-scale events, government exhibitions, or international festivals. Strong understanding of the media landscape in both Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities. Proficiency in both English and Hindi (Verbal and Written). Familiarity with government financial processes and procurement (GeM portal) is an added advantage. Age limit: Maximum 45 to 50 years (Refer to the specific notification for relaxation).
