National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), under the Ministry of Textiles, invites offline applications for the post of Assistant Professor on a short-term contract basis. NIFT is the premier institute for design, management, and technology education in India. The selected candidates will be responsible for delivering lectures, conducting practical workshops, mentoring students for industry projects, and contributing to the curriculum development of the fashion department. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Teaching and training students in specialized fashion and design subjects. Developing course modules, assignments, and conducting student assessments. Organizing industry visits, guest lectures, and graduation fashion shows. Participating in institutional research projects and consultancy assignments. Mentoring students for their final year portfolios and placements. Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 1 year, extendable based on performance). Selection Process: * Shortlisting based on Qualification/Experience Presentation/Teaching Demo Personal Interview.
Post Graduate Degree from a recognized University/Institute with at least 60% marks. OR PhD in the relevant field from a reputed institution. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience (Teaching/Research/Industry) for PG degree holders. Proven expertise in fashion design software, garment construction, or fashion management. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Age limit: Maximum 40 years (Relaxation as per NIFT/Govt. of India norms).
