Job Description

Bank of India (BOI) invites offline applications for the post of Financial Literacy Counsellor (FLC) on a contractual basis. The main role of an FLC is to provide financial counseling and educate people in rural and semi-urban areas about banking products, digital transactions, and government schemes. They act as a bridge between the common man and the banking system, helping individuals manage their finances and debt effectively. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Conducting Financial Literacy Camps (FLCs) in villages and local communities. Educating people about various bank deposits, credit schemes, and insurance products. Assisting people in understanding digital banking (UPI, Mobile Banking, ATMs). Counseling individuals on debt management and helping them avoid high-interest informal loans. Submitting periodic reports to the Lead District Manager (LDM) or Zonal Office regarding awareness activities. Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 1 year, renewable based on performance). Selection Process: * Shortlisting based on experience Personal Interview.

Requirements

Candidate must be a Graduate or Post Graduate from a recognized University. Preference: Retired Bank Officers (Scale I to III) from any Scheduled Commercial Bank/RRB. Must have a sound knowledge of banking operations and financial products. Fluency in the Local Language of the district is mandatory. Passion for social work and the ability to travel to rural locations. Age limit: Maximum 64 years (as on the date of application).
