The High Court of Karnataka invites online applications for the recruitment of 90 Civil Judges through direct recruitment. This is a prestigious position where selected candidates will preside over civil and criminal matters at the junior division level. The role requires a deep understanding of Indian laws, impartiality, and the ability to deliver justice at the grassroots level of the judicial system. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Presiding over the court of Civil Judge & Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC). Adjudicating civil disputes and conducting trials for criminal offenses. Recording evidence, hearing arguments, and delivering well-reasoned judgments. Managing court administration and supervising subordinate staff. Ensuring the speedy disposal of cases to reduce judicial pendency in the district. Selection Process: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type). Main Written Examination (Descriptive). Viva-Voce (Interview). Computer Test.
Must be a Graduate in Law (LLB) from a University established by Law in India. For Direct Recruitment: Must be a practicing Advocate with at least 3 years of experience. For Fresh Graduates: Must have passed LLB in the first attempt with at least 50% marks (for SC/ST) or 55% marks (for others) and must be within 3 years of graduation. Must be proficient in Kannada (Reading, Writing, and Speaking) as the local language test is mandatory. Age limit: Maximum 35 years for General and 38 years for SC/ST candidates.
