Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) invites online applications for the post of Assistant Foreman (Electrical) Trainee in T&S Grade-C. Selected candidates will undergo training in the maintenance and operation of heavy electrical machinery used in open-cast and underground mines. This is a technical supervisory role where the individual ensures the smooth functioning of power supply systems and electrical safety protocols within the mining areas of Odisha. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Supervising the maintenance and repair of high-voltage electrical equipment and transformers. Managing shift-wise electrical operations for heavy earth-moving machinery (HEMM). Ensuring compliance with Indian Electricity Rules and mine safety regulations. Troubleshooting power distribution issues in the mining grid. Coordinating with the Senior Foreman for periodic maintenance schedules and spare parts inventory. Selection Process: Computer Based Test (CBT) - 100 Marks (Technicall + General). Document Verification. Medical Examination.
Minimum Qualification: Three-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institute. Must possess a valid Electrical Supervisor Certificate of Competency (Mines) or equivalent. Strong understanding of electrical circuits, heavy-duty motors, and switchgears. Physical fitness as per the "Mines Medical Standards" is mandatory for coalfield postings. Knowledge of local safety protocols for handling high-voltage lines in hazardous environments. Age limit: 18 to 30 years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Departmental candidates as per Govt. rules).
