The Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, invites online applications for the post of Research Associate. This position is purely temporary and tied to a specific project funded by national agencies like SERB or DRDO. The role involves conducting high-fidelity laboratory experiments, performing computational modeling, and assisting the Principal Investigator (PI) in project management. IIT BHU is known for its rich heritage in engineering, and this role offers exposure to some of India's best research facilities. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Execution of technical experiments and data collection as per the research project mandate. Analyzing experimental results using advanced software tools (MATLAB, Python, etc.). Drafting and publishing high-impact research papers in international journals. Helping in the design and fabrication of research prototypes or experimental setups. Supervising and mentoring junior project staff or interns in the lab. Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 1 year, extendable up to the project duration). Qualification: PhD in a relevant branch of Engineering or Science (e.g., Materials, Metallurgy, Physics, etc.). Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis and are awaiting the viva-voce may also apply (as per project rules). Prior research experience in the specific domain of the project (e.g., Nanomaterials, Renewable Energy, or Robotics). Strong analytical, mathematical, and technical writing skills. Proficiency in using analytical equipment or simulation software. Age limit: Maximum 35 to 45 years (Relaxation as per Govt. of India/IIT norms).
