Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, invites online applications for the post of Principal Project Scientist on a purely temporary basis. This is a high-level research position where the candidate is expected to lead specific research modules, manage advanced laboratories, and coordinate between faculty and industry sponsors. The role involves high-end technical design, mentoring junior research staff, and ensuring the project meets international standards of scientific excellence. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Leading technical research and development activities for the assigned project. Designing and implementing experimental setups or complex software/hardware systems. Managing project funds, procurement of lab equipment, and resource allocation. Authoring research papers for top-tier journals and presenting findings at international conferences. Assisting the Principal Investigator (PI) in project planning and strategic decision-making. Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 1 year, extendable up to the duration of the project). Selection Process: * Shortlisting based on academic and professional excellence. Qualification: PhD in a relevant Science or Engineering discipline with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience. OR M.Tech / M.E. in a relevant branch with at least 10 years of high-level research/industrial experience. Proven track record of high-impact research publications or patents. Expertise in specialized tools/technologies (e.g., AI/ML, Nanotechnology, Advanced Electronics, etc.). Excellent leadership and team management skills. Age limit: As per IIT Delhi project appointment rules (Relaxation for internal/reserved candidates as per norms).
