The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) is conducting a Walk-in Interview for the positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Young Professional-II (YP-II). These roles are purely contractual and tied to time-bound research projects funded by ICAR or other national agencies. Selected candidates will work on advanced agricultural research, including field trials, molecular analysis, and data management under the supervision of senior scientists. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Assisting in laboratory experiments and high-throughput phenotyping/genotyping. Managing field data collection, soil analysis, and crop monitoring. Maintaining precise research records and assisting in the preparation of project reports. Operating advanced analytical instruments like HPLC, PCR, or Spectrophotometers. Coordinating with the Principal Investigator (PI) for project presentations and publications. Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 1 year or until the project ends). Selection Process: * Walk-in Interview Document Verification.
For JRF: M.Sc. in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Biotechnology or Life Sciences with NET qualification. For YP-II: Post Graduate degree in relevant Agricultural Sciences or Graduate degree in Engineering/Technology/Veterinary Science. Strong interest in agricultural research and willingness to work in both lab and field conditions. Basic knowledge of statistical tools and data analysis software. Excellent communication skills for documenting research findings. Age limit: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 45 years (Relaxation as per ICAR rules).
