Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore, invites applications from motivated and eligible candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a time-bound research project. The project typically involves advanced simulations, hardware prototyping, or experimental data analysis. This position is ideal for candidates who want to gain high-level research experience before applying for a PhD program in India or abroad. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Developing experimental setups and conducting high-precision laboratory tests. Performing computational modeling and simulations using specialized software (like ANSYS, MATLAB, or Python). Collecting and processing research data and maintaining a thorough record of project progress. Assisting the Principal Investigator (PI) in writing research papers and technical reports. Presenting project updates in lab meetings and national/international conferences. Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 1 year, extendable based on performance and project duration). Selection Process: * Shortlisting based on GATE score and Academic record. Technical Interview (Online/Offline).
Qualification: Graduate degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Post Graduate degree (M.E./M.Tech) in a relevant Engineering discipline. Must have a valid GATE score (mandatory for most JRF positions in IITs). Strong foundation in the core subjects related to the project (e.g., Fluid Mechanics, Power Systems, or Nanotechnology). Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, or MATLAB for research applications. Prior experience in research publications or project work is a plus. Age limit: Maximum 28 to 32 years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women as per Govt. norms).
