Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (HBCH & RC), Visakhapatnam, is conducting a Walk-in Interview for the post of Technician (ICU/OT) on a purely contractual basis. The hospital is an unit of Tata Memorial Centre, an autonomous body under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India. The selected technician will be responsible for maintaining and operating life-saving medical equipment in the ICU and Operation Theatre, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and technical efficiency. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Preparing the Operation Theatre (OT) and ICU with necessary medical equipment before procedures. Operating and troubleshooting specialized machines like Ventilators, Multipara Monitors, and Anesthesia Workstations. Assisting surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures and emergency interventions. Ensuring the sterilization and proper maintenance of surgical instruments and medical devices. Maintaining daily logs of equipment performance and coordinating with the biomedical department for repairs. Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 6 months, extendable based on requirement and performance). Selection Process: * Walk-in Interview Skill Test (if applicable).
Candidate must have passed 12th Standard in Science from a recognized board. Technical Qualification: Diploma (2 years) in OT / ICU / Electronics / Biomedical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of experience in a reputed hospital's ICU or Operation Theatre is preferred. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and electrical safety in a hospital environment. Willingness to work in shifts including night duties and emergency calls. Age limit: Maximum 30 years (Relaxation as per Tata Memorial Centre norms).
