National Rural Livelihood Mission
The District Panchayat of Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara invites offline applications for the post of Block Project Manager (BPM) under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM). The BPM acts as the head of the Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU) and is responsible for the overall implementation of "Bihan" (NRLM Chhattisgarh) at the block level. The role involves managing Self-Help Groups (SHGs), promoting rural livelihoods, and ensuring that government funds reach the rural poor effectively. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Project Leadership: Planning and executing all NRLM activities within the assigned block. SHG Promotion: Overseeing the formation, training, and bank-linkage of Women Self-Help Groups. Team Management: Supervising the work of Cluster Coordinators and community cadres. Financial Monitoring: Managing the block-level project budget and ensuring timely utilization of funds. Liaison: Coordinating with the Janpad Panchayat, banks, and district officials for project success. Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 1 year, extendable based on performance). Selection Process: 1. Merit list based on Academic Qualification. 2. Computer Practical Test. 3. Personal Interview / Group Discussion.
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree or Diploma (2 years) in Management (MBA) / Social Work (MSW) / Rural Development / Agriculture. Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in rural development projects or social mobilization. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is mandatory for reporting and data analysis. Good understanding of the local language (Chhattisgarhi) and rural socio-economic conditions. Ability to travel extensively within the block's rural areas for field monitoring. Age limit: 21 to 35 years (Relaxation up to 45 years for Chhattisgarh locals and reserved categories).
