The District Panchayat of Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara invites offline applications for the post of Area Coordinator under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM). The Area Coordinator acts as the frontline representative of the mission at the village cluster level. The primary role is to organize rural women into Self-Help Groups (SHGs), facilitate their meetings, and help them access financial services and livelihood opportunities. This role involves intensive field travel and community mobilization. 🔬 Key Responsibilities SHG Formation: Identifying and mobilizing rural poor households into Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Training & Capacity Building: Training SHG members on book-keeping, financial literacy, and group management. Bank Linkage: Assisting SHGs in opening bank accounts and obtaining loans for their small businesses. Livelihood Support: Helping SHG members identify and start income-generating activities (e.g., poultry, tailoring, small shops). Monitoring: Attending SHG meetings regularly to ensure transparency and proper record maintenance. Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 1 year, extendable based on performance). Selection Process: 1.
