Women and Child Development
The District Programme Officer, Women and Child Development (WCD), Janjgir-Champa, invites offline applications for the post of Gender Expert under the "Hub for Empowerment of Women." The Gender Expert is responsible for ensuring that all district-level government schemes are gender-inclusive. The role involves monitoring the implementation of policies related to women's safety, health, and economic empowerment, and coordinating with various departments to bridge the gender gap in the district. ๐ฌ Key Responsibilities Scheme Monitoring: Overseeing the implementation of "Mission Shakti" components like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, One Stop Centre, etc. Awareness Campaigns: Organizing district-level workshops and training sessions on gender equality and women's rights. Data Analysis: Collecting and analyzing gender-disaggregated data to identify gaps in womenโs welfare in Janjgir-Champa. Inter-Departmental Liaison: Working with the Health, Education, and Police departments to ensure a coordinated response to women's issues. Reporting: Preparing monthly progress reports and documentation for the State and Central government. Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 1 year, extendable based on project tenure). Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Social Work (MSW) / Sociology / Women Studies / Gender Studies / Human Rights. Minimum 3 years of experience in working with government or non-government organizations on gender issues. Deep understanding of social issues, gender laws, and women's rights in India. Proficiency in MS Office and Hindi/English typing for documentation. Good communication and mobilization skills to work with rural communities. Age limit: 21 to 45 years (As per Chhattisgarh Government recruitment rules).
