Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, invites online applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a purely temporary basis under a sponsored research project. The selected candidate will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in conducting experiments, analyzing complex data, and developing innovative solutions within the scope of the project. This role is highly recommended for candidates who wish to pursue a PhD from IIT Delhi in the future, as it provides direct exposure to the institute's research ecosystem. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Experimentation: Designing and executing laboratory experiments as per the project requirements. Data Analysis: Using computational tools or statistical software to interpret research findings. Literature Review: Keeping track of the latest scientific publications related to the research area. Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of monthly progress reports and technical presentations for funding agencies. Publication: Contributing to the writing and submission of research papers to international journals. Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 1 year, extendable based on performance and project duration). Selection Process: 1. Shortlisting based on academic merit and GATE/NET score. 2. Personal Interview (Online or Offline).
Qualification: Post Graduate degree in a relevant Science or Engineering discipline (M.Sc. / M.Tech / M.E.). Must have qualified NET (CSIR/UGC) or have a valid GATE score. Strong theoretical knowledge in the specific domain mentioned in the project. Basic proficiency in programming (Python/MATLAB) or specialized lab equipment handling. Excellent analytical and technical writing skills. Age limit: Maximum 28 to 30 years (Relaxation as per Govt. of India/IIT Delhi norms).
