All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rajkot, invites offline applications for the prestigious post of Professor-cum-Principal for its College of Nursing. As the head of the nursing college, the Principal will be responsible for setting up the academic curriculum, managing faculty, ensuring clinical training standards, and overseeing the overall administration of nursing education. This is a leadership role aimed at establishing AIIMS Rajkot as a center of excellence in nursing. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Academic Leadership: Planning and implementing B.Sc. and M.Sc. Nursing programs as per INC (Indian Nursing Council) norms. Faculty Management: Recruiting, mentoring, and supervising the nursing faculty and clinical instructors. Institutional Development: Designing the infrastructure, labs, and library requirements for the nursing college. Clinical Coordination: Coordinating with the AIIMS hospital departments for the practical training of nursing students. Policy Making: Participating in the Institute’s academic committee to frame rules for admissions and examinations.
Qualification: Master’s Degree in Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing) from a recognized Institution/University. Candidate must be a Registered Nurse and Midwife. Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the Nursing field after M.Sc., out of which at least 7 years should be in nursing education/administration in a recognized college. Ph.D. in Nursing is highly desirable and preferred for this senior role. Proven track record of research, publications, and academic administration. Age limit: Maximum 55 years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and Govt. servants as per AIIMS rules).
