The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is conducting a Walk-in Interview for the post of Research Assistant. The selected candidate will assist senior scientists in laboratory-based research or clinical data collection related to oncology. This role provides an excellent platform to learn advanced molecular biology techniques and participate in meaningful research that impacts cancer treatment protocols. 🔬 Key Responsibilities Lab Operations: Performing routine molecular biology experiments like DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and cell culture. Data Collection: Maintaining accurate records of experimental results and clinical data for the project. Literature Review: Assisting the research team in searching and summarizing scientific papers. Inventory Management: Keeping track of lab consumables, reagents, and ensuring the upkeep of research instruments. Reporting: Preparing periodic progress presentations and assisting in manuscript preparation.
Qualification: Graduate (B.Sc./B.Tech) or Post Graduate (M.Sc./M.Tech) in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Genetics. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a research laboratory setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with basic laboratory safety protocols and data analysis software. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Age limit: Maximum 28 to 30 years (Relaxation as per Tata Memorial Centre/Govt. of India rules). Job Type: Contractual (Initially for 6 months or 1 year, extendable based on project duration).
